About the Role

We are seeking an HR Intern to provide support to our Human Resources team in creating an engaging and informative onboarding welcome video for new staff members at JF&CS. This is a full-time position under the Canada Summer Jobs program for up to 280 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to outline the video's objectives, message, and target audience.

  • Brainstorm ideas, create a storyboard, and develop a production plan.

  • Craft the script for the video, including dialogue for the CEO introduction, departmental insights, and the overall narrative flow.

  • Conduct video shoots to capture footage of the CEO's welcome message, departmental interviews, and additional scenes.

  • Use video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) to compile and refine footage, adding visual effects, graphics, and music.

  • Record insights, challenges, and decisions made throughout the production process in comprehensive documentation.

  • Create a visually appealing and informative brochure expanding on key aspects of the onboarding welcome video.

  • Performs other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be between the 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. 

  • Some post-secondary education, preferably in film production, communication, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Organizational, detailed oriented and multi-tasking skills.

  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

  • Prioritize workload according to ever changing deadlines.

  • Comfortable working in-office where health and safety measures have been put in place.
