Technology Intern

Student; Casual Contract; 35 hours per week

$15 per hour

 

Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service, client-centered agency, and a Children’s Aid Society supporting the healthy development of individuals, children, and families. We are seeking a Technology Intern to assist with the provision of technical support to staff at the agency.   The incumbent must be able to work remotely and in-office where health and safety measures have been put in place. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve and track open service tickets related to IT issues reported by agency staff 

  • Provide basic training for users on existing information technology tools and systems.

  • Assist with the setup, configuration and troubleshooting of software and hardware.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be between the 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. 

  • Understanding of PC hardware components, connectivity and configuration.

  • Some Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting is an asset

  • Some post –secondary education in Information & Communication Technology

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential and proprietary information.
