Full-Time (10-month role Sept-June); 40 hours per week
Salary: $72,000- $85,000 Based on Experience

About the Role
The Jerome D. Diamond (JDD) Adolescent Centre, a branch of Jewish Family and Child Service is looking for a Child & Youth Workers (CYW) to assist in providing direct services, within an effective treatment program, to adolescents during the school year. The JDD Adolescent Centre is a children’s mental health centre that provides support to youth with educational, emotional and/or behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct treatment (care, coaching and counselling) and relevant programming services to youth on a daily basis in conjunction with the JDD team.

Develop, implement, review and monitor the treatment plans for the youth in conjunction with the team and family.

Support and advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they have access to services within the Agency and in the community.

Plan and participate in activity/recreation-based programming and physical education such as yoga, art therapy, cooking, CBT etc.

Supervise and assists students during non-academic instructional time, e.g., recess, lunch, bus loading/unloading, therapeutic recreation, etc.

Ensure the physical facilities of the program are maintained in accordance with the accepted agency standards and the norms of health and safety.

Assists with special events (religious observances, Graduation, celebrations, etc.) as they come up.

Maintain accurate and timely client-related documentation for internal and external record keeping in accordance with professional standards, the Agency and Day Treatment Policy.

Liaise, communicate and coordinate a collaborative working relationship with internal and external professionals.

Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:

CYW or equivalent post-secondary diploma/degree
-
CYW experience in a Day Treatment Program would be considered an asset
-
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

Strong administrative and organizational skills
-
Strong computer skills and within with Microsoft Office Package (Outlook, Excel and Word), databases, and client databases.

Comprehension of French or another language will be considered an asset
