Contract; up to 280 hours; 35 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking an Office Administration Intern to provide support to our Administration team. This is a full-time position under the Canada Summer Jobs program for up to 280 hours.
Responsibilities:

Assist with various administrative tasks to support Agency programs and teams.

Provide reception coverage for vacation, sick, lunch breaks, and the occasional evening.

Provide assistance for case file maintenance, including scanning.

Organize and maintain proper record filing.
-
Assist in coordinating the logistical aspects of Agency programs and services, such as meetings, seminars and other events.

Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services and other correspondence.

Maintain stock area in clean and presentable manner; ensure adequate level of office supplies.

Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
-
Must be between the 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.

Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.

Some post-secondary education, preferably in the area of Office Administration/ Accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), knowledge of Access and database programs.

Organizational, detailed oriented and multi-tasking skills.

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Prioritize workload according to ever changing deadlines.

Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential and proprietary information.

Comfortable working in-office where health and safety measures have been put in place.
