Manager of Family Services 

Full-time; $45,000 – $54,000 based on experience and credentials

Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service, client-centered agency, and a Children’s Aid Society supporting the healthy development of individuals, children, and families. This position requires the incumbent to work in the office.  

We are seeking an Office Support – Accounting to provide administrative support to the Accounting Team. The successful candidate will resolve vendor related billing and payment concerns, organize client files, and provide information to internal and external stakeholders.


The successful candidate will:​​

  • Address and resolves vendor related billing and payment concerns such as overcharges, undercharges, HST miscalculations, refunds, cancellations, etc. 

  • Resolve mismatches between vendor estimates and invoices such as changes in treatment plants, etc.

  • Main point of contact for extensions of “promissory payment letters” when vendor cannot complete service in require timeline.

  • Obtain all necessary paperwork and scan/upload to client’s file on case management system. 

  • Pursue cheques not cashed with client and vendor.

  • Identify files where receipts are required.

  • Collects, scans, and uploads receipts into client’s file on Agency case management system.

  • Scan financial documents into Doclink/Sage.

  • Ensure all documentation related to the Claims Conference Public Acknowledgement require is present in each client file on case management system. 

  • Maintain updated client demographic information on both Agency and funder databases.

  • Compile, prints, organizes, and files paper copies of assessment packages and subsequent request documents for accounting purposes. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in an Office Administration, Social Work, and/or Social Science related program.

  • 2 years of related experience in social services or working with a community agency.  

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Experience using complex database systems, management systems, and/or CMS systems. 

  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as scanners, photocopiers, fax etc. 

  • Comprehension of Russian or another language reflecting the local community will be considered an asset
