10 month contract; 40 hours per week
Salary: $72,000 to $85,000 based on experience

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Child & Youth Workers (CYW) to join the team at our Jerome D. Diamond (JDD) Adolescent Centre, a specialized children’s mental health centre and a program of JF&CS. The JDD Centre supports adolescents with complex educational, emotional, and/or behavioural needs through a structured treatment program. This positions offer an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth during the school year (September to June), and will cover a maternity leave.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct treatment services (care, coaching and counselling) to youth on a daily basis as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the team and families.

Support and advocate for clients to ensure they have access to services internally and in the wider community.

Plan and participate in therapeutic programming and recreational activities (e.g. yoga, art therapy, cooking, CBT).

Supervise and assist students during non-academic instructional periods, e.g., recess, lunch, arrival/dismissal, etc.

Participate in school wide events and special observances (e.g. graduation, holidays cultural celebrations, etc.).

Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with professional standards and Agency and Day Treatment Policy.

Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external professionals to ensure comprehensive service.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
A diploma or degree in Child and Youth Work or equivalent.

Experience working in a Day Treatment Program is an asset.

Understanding of mental health, trauma informed care, and adolescent development.

Knowledge of community services and resources relevant to youth and families.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Strong organizational and administrative skills, including documentation and time management.

Flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness to the needs of a dynamic treatment setting.

Ability to speak French or another language is considered an asset.
