About The Role
Are you a Human Resources professional looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to cover a maternity leave on a 9 month contract. In this role, you will provide comprehensive human resources services, including recruitment, onboarding and employee relations, while supporting our mission of strengthening individuals and communities.
Responsibilities:

Manage the full recruitment cycle, including screening, interviewing, reference checks and hiring.

Coordinate and facilitate onboarding process, including supporting new hire orientation sessions.

Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring records are accurate, current, and complaint with all related legislations.

Provide guidance and support on HR policies and procedures, responding to employee inquiries with professionalism and care.

Analyze HR data, maintain dashboards and create reports on key metrics.

Manage HRIS data, and collaborate with the HR team on process improvements.

Contribute to Agency-wide initiatives, representing JF&CS’s mission and values.

Support day to day HR operations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in human resources or related field.

3 years of experience in a Human Resources role.

CHRP designation or working towards certification is an asset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS Software (experience with UKG is a strong asset).

Familiarity with recruitment tools, including resume databases and online platforms.

Strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Comprehension of French or another language will be considered an asset
