Fundraising Coordinator

Full time, 12 month maternity leave contract

$56,354 to $65,965 Based on Experience 

Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service, client-centered agency, and a Children’s Aid Society supporting the healthy development of individuals, children, and families. The Fundraising Coordinator will support the Development and Communications department in building community presence and resource development for the Agency.  The Development Coordinator will participate in organize projects and activities related to the annual campaign, major gifts solicitation, events, and other fundraising and donor stewardship initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in cultivating a stewardship of donors. 

  • Prepare thank you letters to donors and funders.       

  • Ensure tax receipting is completed in a timely manner.

  • Participate in stewardship initiatives, including regular contacts with major donors, thank you calls and Donor Wall updates.

  • Participate in stewardship initiatives for EchoAge, loyalty programs and monthly giving programs.

  • Prepare and analyze reports from Raisers Edge such as donor lists and funding reports as needed.

  • Maintain Blackbaud products, including Raiser’s Edge and Net Community ensuring data integrity, relevance and accuracy.

  • Provide support and guidance to volunteer committees in the planning and execution of fundraising events.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in fundraising/communications and/or related experience.

  • 1 year experience in fundraising, donor relations or related area.

  • Knowledge and experience with Raiser’s edge will be a strong asset.

  • Familiarity with GTA’s Jewish community is an asset.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • High level of database skills and computer literacy.

  • Must be a team player with proven ability to work well with diverse groups of people including staff and volunteers.
