To promote and strengthen JF&CS programs and services through partnerships, evidence informed practice, and knowledge exchange. 



We will engage in mutually beneficial relationships with staff, community partners, learning institutions, and funders/donors to deliver programs & services that are based on service user and community needs.

We will distill knowledge from practice, theory & policy to inform program development & strategic planning.

Knowledge Exchange

We will utilize Community of Practices, Working Groups, and Learning Events as forums to share knowledge, expertise, and data focused on service user outcomes and community needs


JF&CS will deliver the highest quality and most efficient services, and will meet the Centre of Excellence Standards, so that service users can achieve the best possible outcomes.

  1. Meet or exceed relevant Ministry or program Accreditation, Compliance, Licensing standards.

  2. Participate at conferences to demonstrate knowledge translation

  3. Engage in professional development and continuous learning (mandatory/optional) to build capacity

  4. Leverage research partnerships for the purposes of knowledge exchange and building a continuum of care for service users

  5. Leverage community partnerships for the purposes of knowledge exchange and building a continuum of care for service users

  6. Evidence of program renewal or innovation through the use of data and evaluation activities

  7. Data collection & dissemination of stakeholder and service user voice

  8. Program and service model, goals and outcomes are clearly defined and mapped

  9. Community engagement and advocacy to raise awareness of community needs
