Case Aide – Poverty Reduction

Full time; 12 month contract; 35 hours per week, potential evenings 

Salary: $57,000 to $76,000 based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a Case Aide – Poverty Reduction who provides assistance and guidance to the poverty reduction program to support vulnerable clients with their financial assistance, case goals and daily living tasks. This position will have a combination of direct service activities in working with clients, advocacy and referral to community resources, as well as administrative tasks related to assisting clients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with their goals by assisting with budgeting, making financial requests, and connecting them to other community based organizations

  • Manage a full caseload and provide case management supports to assigned individuals 

  • Participate in delivering services related to poverty reduction clients including completing financial assistance requests, conducting check-ins, and ensuring long-term clients maintain their stability. 

  • Assist clients with accessing community-based services as required

  • Provide administration and coordination support in relation to multi-service cases as needed

  • Support and advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they have access to services within the Agency and in the community

  • Represent the Agency’s mission, vision and values in the community

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary degree/diploma in a related human services field and/or at least 5 years experience in a human services agency performing similar duties.

  • 2 years of related experience working in social services or with a community agency. 

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s license and access to a vehicle

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be a team player and detail-oriented

  • Comprehension of French or another language reflecting the local community will be considered an asset
