Business Analyst Intern – Intranet Solution

Salary: $17 per hour; 4-6 month contract

Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service, client-centered agency, and a Children’s Aid Society supporting the healthy development of individuals, children, and families.  

Due to the current pandemic environment, this position is currently working remotely.


We are seeking a Business Analyst Intern – Intranet Solution to define project requirements by analyzing business and system requirements; designing and testing solutions.  Due to the current pandemic environment, this position is currently working remotely with the occasional requirement to work in office to complete tasks. 



  • Evaluate business processes; anticipate requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and recommend alternatives for an agency Intranet solution.

  • Lead ongoing reviews of Intranet related business processes and develop optimization strategies.

  • Conduct meetings and presentations to gather ideas and share findings.

  • Perform requirements analysis.

  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

  • Document and communicates the results of efforts.

  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

  • Work closely with staff, technicians, and managerial staff.

  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements in Intranet implementations.

  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

  • Manage competing resources and priorities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Must be between the 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technology related or business focused field with a background in process design, system definitions, and project documentation.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to solve problems related to systems processing and operations.

  • Experience with Intranet platforms.

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

  • Experience writing manuals and other documentation.

  • Understanding of and commitment to the Agency’s client centric approach
