Jerome D. Diamond Adolescent Centre

The Jerome D. Diamond Adolescent Centre (JDD) is a children’s mental health centre, dedicated to providing hope and help to youth with educational, emotional and/or behavioural challenges. Over the past three decades, the Diamond Centre has helped hundreds of young people turn around their challenging lives and rejoin the mainstream with newfound competence and skills. The Centre’s professional team is comprised of social workers, child and youth workers, special education teachers and a consulting psychiatrist and psychologist.

The JDD’s treatment services help youth and their families develop emotional, social and behavioural skills to successfully manage their issues, with the goal of re-integration into an appropriate community school. In addition to classroom instruction, students may receive one-on-one counselling with a child care worker and/or family counselling with a social worker. The Diamond Centre’s educational program is fully accredited by the Toronto District School Board.

Community financial support is urgently needed to ensure that theJDD will be able to continue its tradition of excellence and develop new initiatives to build strong futures for youth with complex needs. To find out how you can support the Centre, contact 416.638.7800 x 6999.
