Here to Help

A powerful initiative of the JF&CS Woman Abuse program, Here to Help is a program for kids aged four to 16 and their moms who live in families where abuse has occurred.

Kids exposed to aggressive fighting between their parents may learn that this is the only way to solve problems, deal with frustration and have their needs met. To stop the cycle of violence, children need the opportunity to talk about what they are experiencing at home. Through Here to Help, both kids and moms are supported in their healing from the impact of woman abuse.

Jewish Family & Child is proud to be the lead Agency in this unique and impactful program, in partnership with the Child Development Institute, Yorktown Family Services, YWCA Toronto, Native Child & Family Services of Toronto and Centre francophone de Toronto.
