Adoption Services

Jewish tradition teaches that whoever brings up an orphan in his or her home is regarded as though the child had been born to him or her.

The JF&CS Adoption Program is responsible for securing suitable, nurturing, permanent homes for children in our care who are eligible for adoption. The Adoption Coordinator provides disclosure services to adult adoptees, as well as reunion counselling.

Post-adoption counselling support is available to families facing the particular challenges that parenting adopted children may raise. JF&CS coordinates monthly Adoption Support Group meetings, open to all adoptive parents.

For more information, contact the Adoption Coordinator at 416 638-7800, ext 294.
